    Maryland Science Center Brain Bee 2024.

    The competition is Sunday, February 11th, 2024 from 11 am- 3 pm at the Maryland Science Center.

    Dr. Ewa Gorski, NOVA, and the Maryland Science Center have coordinated to host the 2024 Maryland Science Center Brain Bee. This is a fun and educational competition with $1000 in prizes. The winner will receive a traveling trophy and represent Baltimore City in the USA national championship in Orlando, Florida. The Brain Bee is open to students in public, private, religious, or home schools within Baltimore, MD, or surrounding areas. All competitors must be 13-19 years of age. Students will be tested on neuroscience topics such as vision, hearing, brain disorders, and neuroethics. All questions are based on materials found in the Brain Facts book, which is free to download at brainfacts.org. There will be four parts to the competition: written, neuroanatomy, patient diagnosis, and oral. The deadline for registration is January 26th, 2024.
